The Rock & Beer Spiel is a super fun bonspiel that features, well, rock and roll and beer. What else? It’s very popular but registration is full. If you want to be on a waiting list, email us by clicking here.
Here’s what you can expect when you get here:
Cost is $340 per team and includes all food and beverages, including:
Friday Taco Bar dinner
Saturday breakfast (biscuits and gravy), lunch (soup and chili), and dinner (pulled pork and Smoked Gouda Mac & Cheese)
Sunday continental breakfast
Beer and soda for curlers is free. Cocktails and wine are $2.Also, live music Saturday night, Wheel of Fun drawings throughout the weekend, blind Calcutta boards ($10 and $20), and a prize for the team with best rock attire.
Friday draw times are 4:00, 6:00, 8:00 and 10:00 pm.
Bonspiel Rules
• Teams flip to determine which team has hammer.
• All games are 6 ends except for Sunday’s final events, which are 8 ends.
• Time management of games will be enforced.
• Sunday’s semifinals and finals have no time limit.
• Five rock free guard zone
• Brainerd will help find replacement curlers in the event of injury or an absent curler.
• Vice skips will record the W or L on the draw sheets after the game.
• Tie Breakers – Ties will be decided by a one-shot-per-team draw to the button with sweepers and broom. Opponents are not allowed to sweep. Event finals require a full extra end.Good curling!
